About Mars
What Mars does, its mission and values, and what it's like to work there in Australia.
Mars is a privately held, family-owned global company whose Australian operations span three areas: confectionery and snacking (brands such as Mars, Snickers, M&M's, and Maltesers), food (the MasterFoods and Dolmio ranges), and petcare (pet-food brands including Pedigree, Whiskas, and Royal Canin, plus veterinary services). It runs several Australian manufacturing sites, including chocolate production at Ballarat and pet-food plants at Wodonga and Bathurst.
Most operational jobs are in manufacturing and supply chain: production and process operators, machine technicians and maintenance, warehouse and logistics roles, and quality and food-safety positions at the factory sites, many of them in regional towns.
Office and commercial roles — in sales and category management, marketing, finance, procurement, engineering, R&D, technology, and people functions — are based at Mars's Australian offices. Mars runs graduate and apprenticeship programs, particularly in engineering and manufacturing. Applications are handled through the Mars careers site; CareerTrees links through to those official listings.
