About Ramsay Health Care
What Ramsay Health Care does, its mission and values, and what it's like to work there in Australia.
Ramsay Health Care (ASX: RHC) is Australia's largest private hospital operator and one of the country's biggest healthcare employers. Founded in Sydney in 1964, it runs a network of more than 70 private hospitals and day-surgery and treatment facilities across Australia — covering surgery, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and other specialties — and also operates hospitals in Europe and the United Kingdom.
The large majority of Australian jobs are clinical: registered and enrolled nurses, midwives, theatre and perioperative staff, allied-health professionals such as physiotherapists and pharmacists, and patient-support and care roles. Hospitals also employ catering, cleaning, sterilising, and administration staff, while medical specialists typically practise as accredited visiting practitioners.
Corporate and shared-service roles cover finance, technology, procurement, people, and operations. Ramsay runs large graduate-nurse and nursing-pathway programs and clinical traineeships. Applications are handled through the Ramsay Health Care careers site; CareerTrees links through to those official listings.
