About Grill'd
What Grill'd does, its mission and values, and what it's like to work there in Australia.
Grill'd is an Australian burger chain that markets itself on fresh, "healthy" burgers, founded in Melbourne in 2004 by Simon Crowe. It runs about 176 restaurants nationwide — concentrated in Victoria but present in every mainland state — through a mix of company-operated venues and franchised restaurants, and remains privately owned. Each restaurant runs a community grants program ("Local Matters") that is part of the brand's identity.
Most jobs are at restaurant level: grill cooks and kitchen hands, front-of-house and counter staff, and order assembly, commonly casual or part-time under the Fast Food Industry Award and often a first job. Restaurant leadership runs from shift supervisors to assistant and restaurant managers.
Behind the restaurants, Grill'd hires at its Melbourne support office for operations, supply chain, marketing, technology, property, finance, and people functions. Applications are handled directly through the Grill'd careers site and its franchisees; CareerTrees links through to those official listings.
