Glencore is one of the world's largest mining and commodities companies, with extensive Australian operations. In Australia it mines and processes coal (across New South Wales and Queensland), copper (including operations around Mount Isa in Queensland), zinc, and nickel, and runs associated smelting, refining, and port and rail logistics; its main Australian corporate office is in Sydney.

Most jobs are at mine sites and processing plants, many in regional and remote locations on residential or fly-in fly-out (FIFO) rosters: mining and plant operators, drillers and blasters, heavy-diesel and electrical trades and maintenance, mining and processing engineers, geologists, and health-and-safety and environment roles. Production and logistics support the operations.

Corporate and technical-services roles cover finance, supply chain, technology, HR, and the marketing of commodities. Glencore runs apprenticeship, traineeship, and graduate programs across mining and engineering disciplines. Applications are handled through the Glencore careers site; CareerTrees links through to those official listings.
