The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CommBank) is the largest of Australia's four major banks and, by market value, the largest company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: CBA). It provides retail, business, and institutional banking along with payments and wealth services, and owns the Western Australian bank Bankwest and the share-trading platform CommSec. Its main campuses are in Sydney, including a large site at South Eveleigh.

The group employs around 52,000 people, the majority in Australia, serving retail and business customers in every state and territory.

Roles span a wide range. Customer-facing positions include branch lending and service staff, contact-centre consultants, and home-lending and business-banking specialists. CommBank also runs one of the country's larger corporate technology organisations, hiring software engineers, data and analytics staff, cyber-security, and product and design teams, alongside risk, compliance, finance, and operations functions.

The bank recruits through graduate programs, internships, and experienced hires, with most corporate roles based in Sydney and other capital-city hubs and a mix of office-based and hybrid arrangements.
