What BWS does, its mission and values, and what it's like to work there in Australia.
BWS — "Beer Wine Spirits" — is one of Australia's largest convenience liquor retailers, with more than 1,400 bottle shops across every state and territory, typically located beside Woolworths supermarkets or as standalone stores. It is owned by Endeavour Group (ASX: EDV), the drinks and hospitality company that also runs Dan Murphy's, and trades both in store and through quick home delivery.
Most jobs are in stores and are commonly casual or part-time under the General Retail Industry Award: retail assistants who serve customers, give product advice, handle point-of-sale, and manage stock and online-order picking, with responsible-service-of-alcohol requirements. Store leadership runs from 2ICs to store managers.
