You'll own the full lifecycle — design, procurement, commissioning, and operations, making sure operational risk is designed out wherever possible, and properly controlled where it can't be.</p> <p>If you've spent your career on the operations side of the fence and want to shape how a global data centre platform is built and run, this is that role.</p> </div> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What you will be doing</strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <div> <p><strong>D</strong><strong>esign and procurement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review data centre designs at every stage, including Safety in Design, to ensure the build is fit for operations and meets customer SLA requirements</li> <li>Support the development of Technical Performance Requirements documents, feeding commissioning and operational lessons back into design</li> <li>Partner with vendors, design, and procurement teams to ensure Long Lead Equipment (LLE) meets operational needs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Build and commissioning</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as Goodman's representative for First of Kind (FOK) and Factory Witness Testing (FWT) for electrical LLE assets</li> <li>Lead and support the later stages of site commissioning (Cx5, IST), including initial site energisations, scripts, and strategy</li> <li>Work alongside the Goodman Commissioning Manager and Commissioning Authority to validate HV operating procedures and protocols</li> </ul> <p><strong>Handover to operations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review and sign off key handover documents, including Operation and Maintenance Manuals</li> <li>Train and support operations teams to develop EOPs and local electrical safe systems of work</li> <li>Take on site HV ISMP responsibility from the General Contractor</li> </ul> <p><strong>Live operations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as Energy Marshal the final accountability for safe, risk-managed operation of site electrical infrastructure</li> <li>Ensure everyone operating Goodman electrical assets is qualified and competent to do so</li> <li>Hold final sign-off on MOPs, switching schedules, and operational procedures</li> <li>Lead the team on higher-risk activities where senior oversight is needed</li> </ul> <p><strong>Project interface with live sites</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be the bridge between Projects and Operations, final go / no-go sits with you for any project work that touches the live network</li> <li>Develop, validate, and enforce key interface documents (MOPs, switching scripts), making sure they're fit for purpose and followed</li> </ul> <p><strong>Operational excellence</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own and continuously improve critical electrical operating procedures, training, and maintenance regimes</li> <li>Build a strong culture of operational discipline, risk awareness, and continuous improvement</li> <li>Support the Head of Operations on capacity management, redundancy, testing, and disaster recovery readiness</li> </ul> </div> </li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Requirements:<br></strong></span></p> <div> <ul> <li> <div>Deep experience operating and maintaining HV and LV electrical infrastructure in data centre environments</div> </li> <li> <div>Strong background in commissioning, energisation, and handover into live operations</div> </li> <li> <div>Confidence developing and leading MV/HV switching, MOPs, and safe systems of work</div> </li> <li> <div>A track record of working across design, project, and operations teams and being trusted as the final voice on operational risk</div> </li> <li> <div>Working knowledge of data centre mechanical infrastructure (chillers, fan wall units, cooling systems) and how it interacts with electrical systems</div> </li> <li> <div>Licensed Electrician with senior-level experience; relevant engineering qualifications and HV authorisations highly regarded</div> </li> <li> <div>A safety-first mindset, calm under pressure</div> </li> </ul> </div> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span data-teams="true">The Benefits</span></strong></span></p> <p>At Goodman we know that our people are integral to our company success.
