As a Senior Manager within the team, reporting to the Chapter Lead, EDB, this role is critical and responsible for supporting product crews with end-to-end management of risks and compliance obligations, including identification and assessment of risk and compliance obligations applicable to the business profile, development and assessment of controls, as well as management of Issues and Incidents and delivering change management risk in partnership with the Crew. You will be a trusted advisor for all risk and compliance matters, which include providing advice to the product teams and ensure adherence to regulatory and policy requirements.

On any given day, you will:

  • Act as a trusted risk advisor to proactively identify key risks, gaps and opportunities, and drive pragmatic solutions that enable safe, efficient customer outcomes.

  • Lead deep-dives on critical processes to identify material risks, compliance gaps and control weaknesses.

  • Provide pragmatic, strategic risk advice to product crews, supporting end-to-end management of obligations, controls, issues and incidents in line with business and governance priorities.

  • Deliver risk insights and reporting, informed by internal and external environments, to support decision-making across business and governance forums.

  • Strengthen risk governance and culture by engaging with Crew Leads and Product Owners, ensuring prioritisation of key risk items and adherence to frameworks.

  • Drive continuous uplift in non-financial risk management practices, data quality and control effectiveness to enhance the overall EDB risk profile.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Sound to advance knowledge and experience in Operational Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks; ability to analyse/identify risks and recommend appropriate actions; some knowledge of the regulatory and scheme environment would be beneficial.

  • Ability to independently deliver large projects and initiatives in a fast-paced, shifting environment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Strong ability to perform reviews of critical processes to identify what can go wrong, control gaps/weaknesses and optimisation opportunities.

  • Creative and collaborative approach to problem solving, with the ability to simplify complex processes and identify pragmatic solutions.

  • Strong reasoning and influencing skills and ability to work with stakeholders at various levels across the organisation.

  • Ability to analyse trends, identify critical threats and opportunities, diagnose problems and issues, and recommend appropriate actions.

  • Demonstrated experience managing programs of work and preparing project updates and insights for senior leadership.
