Small Business Banking is part of CBA Business Banking and provides both face-to-face and remote support to small businesses across Australia. We build strong connections with our customers and communities through trusted relationships, deep expertise and exceptional execution.
Do work that matters:
As Executive Manager, you'll lead a team of Business Bankers, helping them deliver exceptional outcomes for customers while creating an inclusive, high-performing culture where people can grow, develop and succeed.
You'll be accountable for the financial, customer and risk performance of your region, while coaching and developing your team to build capability across the full spectrum of business customer needs and solutions, including commercial lending and credit origination for facilities up to $1.25M.
As a senior leader within the Small Business extended leadership team, you'll play an important role in shaping strategy, driving performance and contributing to the continued success of Small Business Banking nationally.
More specifically, you will:
Lead the successful execution of Business Banking strategic initiatives across your region
Build a high-performing, customer-focused culture that delivers outstanding customer experiences and sustainable business outcomes
Recruit, coach, develop and retain talented bankers, creating an environment where people feel supported, empowered and set up for success
Develop future leaders and build capability across your team through ongoing coaching and development
Deliver strong customer advocacy, financial performance and risk outcomes across your region
Partner closely with Customer Service Network (Branch) leaders and key stakeholders to implement initiatives that support Small Business Banking performance
Foster a culture of collaboration, learning and continuous improvement
Champion a strong risk culture, ensuring high-quality data management and compliance with regulatory obligations, including AML/KYC requirements
Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes, team effectiveness and business performance
What you'll bring:
Demonstrated people leadership experience, with a track record of building engaged and high-performing teams
Strong commercial lending/business banking experience
Experience assessing, structuring and managing business lending and credit risk
Proven ability to deliver strong customer, financial and risk outcomes
The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple teams
A strong commitment to developing people, fostering inclusion and building team capability
The ability to proactively manage both financial and non-financial risk
Experience leading within a high-volume, fast-paced customer environment
A degree in finance, business or a related discipline
CAA and FRSA Tier 2 Accreditation
