EO Analyst – Agentic AI Discovery & Automation

We’re looking for a curious, hands-on analyst who can work across data, automation, AI and digital marketing to help shape the next phase of discovery.

This role brings together data analysis, technical problem-solving, workflow automation, and emerging AI capability. You’ll help connect marketing, content, customer journey and AI discovery signals into clear insights, repeatable agentic workflows and dashboards that support better business decisions.

In practice, this means analysing how customers and AI systems discover, interpret and recommend CBA products and information, then translating those insights into practical optimisation opportunities. You’ll also help design and support AI-assisted workflows that improve the speed, consistency and quality of GEO analysis, reporting, and insight generation.

Engine Optimisation (EO) is focused on improving how CBA is discovered, cited, understood and recommended across search engines, AI assistants, generative AI platforms and emerging digital discovery environments. The EO team sits within the broader Marketing > Media chapter and leads strategies across SEO, AEO and GEO.

What Good Looks Like:

This role suits someone who is curious, practical, and comfortable working across marketing, data, AI, and technology in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be agile, adaptable, and confident navigating ambiguity, solving new problems, building useful workflows, and turning emerging AI discovery signals into business outcomes.

Success in this role means:

  • AI-assisted workflows are developed, responsibly tested, and applied to practical EO use cases.

  • EO reporting is clear, trusted, and used for easier decision-making.

  • Business teams have a stronger view of how CBA performs across search and AI-driven discovery.

  • AI discovery insights are translated into practical optimisation actions.

  • Dashboards and workflows reduce manual effort and improve consistency.

Capability Focus:

This role brings together AI-enabled workflow design, data analysis, technical problem-solving, and marketing performance insight.

The focus is on using data, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to make experimentation, reporting, and optimisation more effective.

This is not a full production engineering role, but it does require strong hands-on technical capability, confidence working with AI platforms, data and automation, and the ability to build practical workflows that support business priorities.

On any given week you will:

  • Use Python, SQL, HTML, and relevant technologies to collect, prepare, connect, and analyse structured and unstructured data.

  • Experience building and running online and offline evals for AI queries, responses, and performance, including LLM judges to score where CBA is visible, missed or misrepresented.

  • Support SEO, GEO, and AI discovery experiments by analysing outcomes and translating findings into practical recommendations.

  • Design and support lightweight AI-assisted or agentic workflows that improve reporting, research, content gap analysis and insight generation.

  • Analyse search, content, customer journey and AI discovery data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities.

  • Build and maintain dashboards (in Tableau, or Power BI or Streamlit), reporting and business intelligence outputs that support EO decision-making.

  • Connect relevant tools, datasets and platforms to create more consistent and automated views of EO performance.

  • Communicate technical findings in clear, simple language for business stakeholders.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

Core experience

  • Experience or strong interest in AI, GenAI, LLMs, or AI-assisted workflows.

  • Experience reviewing prompts, responses, or AI-generated outputs and designing or supporting automation workflows.

  • Hands-on experience with Python, HTML and SQL.

  • Strong analytical capability, with experience turning data into clear business recommendations.

  • Experience creating dashboards, reporting, or business intelligence outputs using relevant marketing and analytics tools.

  • Ability to connect multiple tools, datasets, or platforms to create a joined-up view of performance.

  • Comfort working with structured and unstructured data.

  • Comfort working in ambiguity and helping shape new ways of working.

Also valuable

  •  Understanding how content structure, customer questions, and authority signals influence digital discovery.

  • Experience working with digital marketing, search, content, customer journey, or performance data.

  • Experience working across marketing, data, technology, governance, and product teams.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
