Your business:
The Technology division delivers the group’s information technology and banking operation functions to ensure the highest levels of customer service through world-class process excellence and technology innovation. Cyber Security protects the bank and our customers from theft, loss and risk events, through effective and proactive management of cyber security, privacy and operational risk.

Your new team:
The Cyber Attack Response Perth Team enables the group to respond to cyber-security events that impact core business platforms, systems, data, assets, and reputation. The team is responsible for investigating cyber events and responding to cyber incidents.
Do Work that matters:
As the Cyber Security Analyst you are Tier 1 support and will be responsible for monitoring the group’s computer systems. You will identify suspicious activity and work across enterprise level cyber tools and systems. This will include triaging and analysing a variety of incidents, events and queries from the business to the relevant business unit and/or stakeholder group.
You will also:
Detect, respond, and coordinate responses for cyber security events while capturing essential details and artefacts.
Escalate applicable incidents to other accountable functions within the group (such as Incident Response, Data Breach, Governance, etc).
Identify potential new detection logic and escalate this to the Detection and Response Engineering team.
Contribute to the Continual Service Improvement (CSI) of the teams’ operations through proactive analysis, engagement and collaboration with your team.
Leverage multiple data sources to analyse detection alerts and staff reported cyber-attacks to identify which events require response activities based on standard operating procedures.

This role is for a Cyber Security Analyst. You will bring your strong technical expertise with the ability to analyse cyber security alerts while supporting the organisation from future cyber threats and or vulnerabilities.
You will bring:
Proficiency in Splunk or similar SIEM tools essential
Proficient in the understanding of cyber-attack and how to detect/analyse them.
Strong understanding of cyber security and networking principles.
Great communication and stakeholder management.
The ability to quickly and effectively learn new skills and your innate abilities to analyse computer system activity to better comprehend and assess cyber threats.
An ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely for different audiences.
