About the role

As a Key Account Manager in our Trade team, you’ll work with a portfolio of strategic customers and be part of a collaborative, commercially savvy group that’s focused on long‑term value—for customers and for Bunnings. This is very much a role where a million ways to make an impact comes to life, with variety, responsibility and real influence across the business.

What’s involved
In this role, your days will be varied and hands‑on, giving you plenty of opportunity to shape outcomes and grow your craft:
Building and nurturing strong relationships with a portfolio of key Trade customers, becoming a trusted partner in their success
Identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts while bringing new business into the fold
Creating and delivering account plans that balance customer needs with commercial outcomes
Partnering closely with internal teams—stores, Trade Centres, operations, merchandising and support functions—to deliver great customer experiences
Negotiating commercial agreements that are fair, sustainable and aligned with our values
Tracking performance, forecasting results and sharing insights that help the wider team stay ahead of market trends
Representing Bunnings within the Trade community and industry networks
Playing an active role in team planning, problem‑solving and continuous improvement
About you
You’re someone who enjoys connecting the dots between people, data and opportunity. You bring curiosity, resilience and a practical mindset to challenges, and you genuinely enjoy working in partnership with customers and colleagues.
You’ll be joining a supportive, high‑performing Trade team that values collaboration, open communication and learning from each other. You’re comfortable taking ownership, asking questions and contributing ideas, all while staying focused on safety, integrity and doing the right thing.
What you’ll need
Proven experience in account management, sales or a similar customer‑focused commercial role
Strong relationship‑building and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders
An analytical approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
Experience using CRM systems and everyday business tools like Microsoft Office
Knowledge of the building, construction or Trade environment (or a strong appetite to learn)
A current driver’s licence and willingness to spend time out with customers
